Candidate for Davie Town Council · District 4

Meet Roxana Milan

My name is Roxana Milan, and I am proud to be running for District 4 in the Town of Davie.

Roxana Milan, candidate for Davie Town Council District 4

Why she’s running

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist, a mother of three, and a local small business owner. For many years, I have had the privilege of serving families throughout our community, helping individuals, couples, and children overcome challenges, strengthen relationships, and build healthier futures. Through that work, I have gained a unique perspective on the issues that affect our residents every day—from public safety and education to housing affordability, mental health, and quality of life.

As the owner of a local courier and logistics business, I also understand the realities facing small businesses. I know what it means to create jobs, meet payroll, navigate regulations, and provide reliable services while managing rising costs. Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy, and I believe our town should be a partner in their success, not an obstacle.

I am running for District 4 because I believe Davie deserves leadership that is accessible, accountable, and focused on the needs of residents. As our town continues to grow, we must ensure that growth is managed responsibly and that our infrastructure keeps pace with development.

One of my priorities is investing in infrastructure and long-term planning. Residents deserve well-maintained roads, reliable drainage systems, safe intersections, and infrastructure improvements that reduce traffic congestion and flooding concerns. We must be proactive rather than reactive, ensuring that taxpayer dollars are invested wisely in projects that improve daily life and protect property values. Infrastructure is not just about roads and utilities—it is about maintaining the quality of life that makes Davie such a desirable place to live and raise a family.

I am also committed to public safety. Supporting our police officers, firefighters, and first responders is essential to maintaining the safe and secure community that residents expect and deserve. We must continue investing in the resources and training necessary to keep our neighborhoods protected.

Another priority is preserving Davie’s unique character and rural heritage. Residents chose Davie because it is different. As we plan for the future, we must balance responsible development with protecting our open spaces, equestrian lifestyle, parks, and family-oriented atmosphere that make our town special.

I believe in fiscal responsibility and transparency. Every tax dollar should be treated with the same care that families use when managing their household budgets and business owners use when managing their companies. Residents deserve clear communication, open government, and leaders who are willing to listen and engage with the community before making important decisions.

Most importantly, I believe that government works best when it works with the people it serves. I want to be a representative who listens, who is present in the community, and who advocates for the interests of District 4 residents every day.
